I spent a few days with some of the Imagine Cup 2007 teams that went to the Innovation Accelerator, an intensive 2 week program to help build a viable business plan out of the technologies these creative students have been working on.

My personal favorite project was from Team 3KC Returns from Thailand. They created a program called LiveBook! that takes text input via a webcam and digitizes it into a 3-D book complete with animation, picture ques, and text-to-speech feedback. This entire system is geared towards helping people learn to read and interact on their own--and it's fun!

The other project that really impressed me was OneSpace by Team InPUT from Poland. With all the collaboration suites out there such as LiveMeeting, MeetingSpace, OneNote, WebEx, Groove, Communicator, etc... I originally was skeptical of the idea of yet another collaboration program, but this was different. Watch the video and see multiple inputs simultaneously and even cross monitor movement while maintaining the original display properties... VERY cool stuff.
