Will and I had the chance to speak with Rob Miles and Dave Baker. They talked us into the .NET Micro Framework and showed us what you can do with C# on small devices (really really small devices) that could be embedded everywhere. Some of these devices are so small that their only reason to live is to work for us as a sensor somewhere.

It was really amazing to see how easy it is to use the Micro Framework and C# to create a solution that runs on a device that's just as big as my old Nintendo(r) GameBoy (and with a cover would also look exactly the same).

Tune in if you like to program for embedded devices and ever wanted to see your code running in a toaster!

Chris ,  you know some people have really slow internet connections (me) and would be better off with a downloaded copy than streamed videos .Please provide a downloadable copy . Smiley

I'm sorry. I can only post via MSN video and therefore can't provide a download link. We also have no space where we can upload a downloadable version of the videos; other than using the own web space and paying for the downloads on our own. Sad

I know that the situation is not ideal - especially for you guys with the slow internet connections - but I hope that we can find a solution to make this work better!

Thanks for your feedback and I will check if we can fix this for you guys!
Really awesome work!

Who is to blame for this fantastic work?! Rob and Dave are just evangelists i am assuming? Not the actual creators right?
Double posted! -.-

You should create a shared folder in Skydrive, this way you can upload the video and let the others download it.
With a limit of 50 MB; it's no fun - the uploaded video for this quality that you see in the player was like 90 MB. Sad A better solution needs to be found.
It's an awesome work. Rob is the guy who wrote a book about the Micro Framework; he's also a prof at the university of Hull and allows the people there to work with these boards during the exercises. Very awesome dude, btw!
The .NET Micro Framework team is responsible for this great work. http://blogs.msdn.com/netmfteam/ The EmbeddedFusion Tahoe platform featured in the video was done by a very talented team of engineers led by yours truly before I joined the .NET MF team at Microsoft. The Meridian/Tahoe platforms live on at http://www.devicesolutions.net

If you think this stuff is great now - all I can say at this point is... You ain't seen nothin' yet! Wink
