webware The voting is complete and the winners are posted from Webware's top 100 web apps chosen by the community (that's you!).  The list is full of really great products and services that I have found to be invaluable tools for everyday Internet use.  It was also nice to see some of Microsoft's recent advancements in the online space on some of the top 10 lists.  Zune side by side with PandoraLive Search up there with Google.  Windows Live next to Skype and Yahoo! Mail.

Some of these services are pretty new have had rocky starts but are definitely contenders today as can be seen by how the community feels.  If you haven't checked out Live Search lately, give it a shot.  The results are MUUUUUCH better than they used to be and it has actually become my homepage.  I personally use Pandora all the time but have augmented my music knowledge-base considerably with the Zune Social capabilities.

This is pure speculation, but I wouldn't be surprised if Live Mesh took a few winner's slots in the near future Smiley

Congrats to Microsoft!

I must admit that I've been using Google for a while now because it's effective.  Though recently I've started checking out Live Search because there is a HUGE push for it right now.  When I had tried using it a few months ago, it was not a good search engine.  I didnt' get the results I was looking for hardly ever.  NOW when I use it, I find just what I need.  The usability has increased ten-fold.  Searching for images is so seamless and easy to do, even with all of the added features that far outclass Google Images.

So without further ado, I can now announce that two days ago Live Search has replaced Google Search as my Default Search Engine in my coveted search box in my browser.
Yes , Congrats !!
I also had posted about it ,Webware 100 Awards 2008 Results Announced
I also agree that Live Search has improved a lot and its also my default Search. I like the image search very much.
Was disappointed not to see Popfly and Silverlight in the Winners list, Silverlight was among the winners list last year. Hope to see both in the next years list as Silverlight will become more popular after the Olympics.
Congrats.

I switched to live search a while ago, mainly because I have privacy issues with Google, and you've been able to feel the results improving Smiley
