Very interesting indeed! I too am trying to get robotics integrated into my school's syllabus, right now. But there's a reason I like programming so much: creating software is free, while creating hardware is not...

Anyway, the day we have R2D2s or Rosies running around our houses is probably not as near as many would like, but robots are already in our houses, if you read the dictionary definition correctly ;)
