My recent interview with Design Mastermind David Shadle took me over to our Lincoln Square offices. This is a new addition to the Microsoft campus in Bellevue, WA just a couple of miles from our main campus location in Redmond, WA.

This office has room for over 1,300 people from floors 14 to 28.  It's the primary location for our North American Sales team so you probably will not find too many developers in this location.  Personally, I think they have one of the better dining facilities, so I like to trek over there occasionally to meet up with some of my old Enterprise Group (my old organization) colleagues.

Since many of you have commented in the forums that you would like to see more of how we work, here are a few snapshots I took while visiting:

This is a shot of the fancy LCD screen in the elevator... high tech eh?

Here we have one of the public lounge areas for people to catch up on some work or maybe get into some arcade fun:

Here one of the private conference rooms allows you to go make a phone call without any distractions... in a very 70s hipster design sort of way:

Putt around the office with this strategically located course you can find throughout the halls:

The rumors are true... your thirst ends here with free sodas, juices, sparkling waters, and even my favorite: chocolate milk!

I think this is why David really wanted to hang out here... it has a very open, designer-esque feel to it... it would make a nice apartment no??

I'll find some other cool buildings around campus for you guys, so stay tuned.

Wow, it would probably make for a nice apartment indeed... It already looks at least about twice as big as my place Smiley

Very cool Max! I haven't been in Lincoln Square yet, but I heard some nice comments and now pictures that are one thousand times better than words! Smiley

Now, reading that your favourite drink is Chocolate Milk (also mine), I have a suggestion: A coffee with chocolate milk. I have to confess that I became addict, half because it is free, half because I loved it, hehe.

I made a "Main Campus Tour" in my blog last summer, it is in Spanish thought... But I promise to translate it and post it here Smiley

BTW, here it is: http://geeks.ms/blogs/mllopis/archive/2007/08/29/un-tour-por-redmond.aspx

Thanks for this cool post!
