Haven't had enough of Stefan lately?? What kind of silly question is that... of course you want to see more of the Mega-Microsoftie who showcases "stuff he's got nothing to do with."

So what's the big news today?? A toolbar. But not just any toolbar; this is a new MSN Toolbar that actually brings content to you in a very intuitive and intelligent way--and the kicker is it's leveraging Silverlight to do so!

Watch the video, see how it works, and download it today.

Just coding 4 fun!

The download page needs a small tweak, it should go ahead and check if you have Silverlight 2.0 installed... and let you know that it won't work in that case. Or at least check that during the install. I went through the full install, restarted IE and ended up with this:

I understand that it can be hard to get it to work with a beta, but checking to see if the system requirements are met before doing an install would be very helpful.

Geek by birth, Microsoftie by choice!
Awesome, more Stefan! Thanks Max! I've never really been much for Toolbars crowding IE, but in the immortal words of Stefan: "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM" the Silverlight implimentation looks incredible. Thanks again, Max. One final BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. Smiley

This is kind of neat, but toolbars are annoying, I do not know anyone who uses them, plus, Firefox 3 RC1 > * . I'm honestly more interested in the user Features of IE8...I think there is some real good stuff going on there.

Why does this remember me of the Channels that came with Windows 98? ... and why are the most people watching this under 21?

Wow... Here you get the bachelor with 22... but it's true if most of the people coming to C8 are undergrades. I didn't consider that...
Has any body noticed the COOOL effects shown for a Breaking News.
Keep an eye during any Breaking News !!

Live? MSN? Where does the madness end? I'd be interested to see these panes integrated better into IE (programmable by anyone and anything). Silverlight is just that cool.

P.S. You missed a "boom" at 5:57.
I got the same error message.  Truly bizarre.  I'm really starting to loose faith in Microsoft developers.
If you are going to release something, make sure it works, or don't let it install for God's sake!
