We recently caught up with two gurus of Digital Identity - Kim Cameron (of Microsoft) and Bob Morgan (big OSS guy). These guys are rockstars of identity both from the Microsoft and the open source perspectives. They were kind enough to share their thoughts on how interoperability is a key concept in enabling digital identity in a way that still preserves privacy.

I'm confused when you put "DreamSpark Technology" together. Isn't dreamspark just a group of applications that each have their own unique technology. I'm not sure of the terminology or marketing or w/e....

As far as I am concerned right now, DreamSpark is great to get students into developing and just playing around. It just needs to really be marketed and hit hard on all campuses around the world.

Great idea, Trix... why don't you start running through The OSU streets of Columbus yelling "DreamSpark is here! DreamSpark is here!"

Get a video of THAT Smiley

I'd get interesting looks Wink

Reminds me of "The british are coming" "The british are coming".

I did tell my friends about it, got mixed reactions, a lot of them like Expression studio and some just thought it was useless because they couldn't code or whatnot...

Microsoft is really reaching out lately...

DreamSpark is great since all is free... I like the goal that everybody who is studying gets the Microsoft software for free. Now it's important to reach all the universities around the world! Smiley

We definitely need to explain how is everything working. I'm talking to Bruce Curling (DreamSpark's man) right now, and I will post it later with all the info about DreamSpark technology.
