So... last 30th May 2008. 14:00 Chile was the country where the final south cone microsoft imagine cup final took place. The category = Software Design
The participants where teams from Chile, Argentina and Uruguay.
Imagine cup is one of the most important competitions among students in wich categories like Software design, Algorithms, Photography, etc have their place thanks to Microsoft Corp and UNESCO.

Teams and their work
Four teams travelled to chile to expose their work. They where:
The winners...
The winner team, called USELESS from Argentina (Salta y Buenos Aires) which members are Sebastián Miserendino, Augusto Chesini and Ivana Tilca ( myself ).

Second place team DCC from Chile (Concepción, Duoc UC) which members are Maximiliano Marín Bustos, Lester Aguilar Muñoz, Brede Basualdo Serraino and the teacher Gonzalo Pérez. “GlobalRecycle"

The other Chile team called elfito++ (from Santiago, Pontificia Universidad Católica) which members are Leonardo Rodríguez Córdova, Sebastián Conca Reckmann, Ignacio Gómez Rabagliatti, Cristóbal Rojas Araya, and the teacher Rosa Alarcón.

And Uruguay team which members are Nicolás Badano, Sebastián Alzaradel, Cecilia Portela, Federico Armando, Claudio Montañés and the teacher Gastón Mousques.

Argentinian are the winners and are travelling to France next 2nd July...!!! See you all there!!!

25 April 2008 .. Hi! I wanted to share with you the Cells on Camp event which took place a few weeks ago in Salta, Argentina. This is the first of many events the students like me are planning on doing this year.

Over 1.000 students and teachers were present. Thanks to the MSP's Leonardo Amaya, Sebastián Miserendino and also to the cell members Cristian DiNatale, Ricardo Miranda, Ramón Romero, José Villagrán among others, people enjoyed topics like WPF , WCF, Silverlight , Hyper-V, XNA , ASP.NET Ajax, Windows Deployment Services , etc.

The event began at 9 a.m. with Pablo Listingart introducing Microsoft Academic Program, and finished with Alejandro Ponicke, an incredible IT Pro Microsoft Evangelist from Buenos Aires also a legend for students and professionals in our country.

We also had several topics that were given at the same time, so attendees were able to choose which they wanted to listen to.

Also Cell members showed the projects they've been working on, and we had an Install Fest in which we gave Microsoft Software absolutely free. The day ended at 9 p.m. with lots of presents for the crowd, like T-shirts, Books, Backpacks, etc. And as you can see in the video, people loved it.

This is the first event made by students in our country, and hopefully, will be others in a couple of months. Because students like us, enjoy learning, and OUR POTENTIAL IS OUR PASSION.

Hi! These days i've been working in Silverlight 2.0 and i wanted to share some of this cool things with u guys!.
This is an English tutorial on how to build a video reproducer web site with a cool background of channe 8. Everything with silverlight and c#.

First of all let's go to New --> Project…, select Visual C# --> Silverlight, select ‘Silverlight Application.

1. The following dialog will appear. To run a Silverlight Application, it needs to be hosted in an html web page. In this area u can choose how do u want to host this app.

The options are:

Add a new web to the solution for hosting the control (the most appropriate. You can then choose the type of web project – a Web Site or a Web Application Project.)
Generate an HTML test page to host Sl within this project.(it doesn’t provide access to the full design environment Visual Studio can offer for a web project )
Link this Silverlight control into an existing web site. (disabled because you’ve just created a new solution)

Click Ok

Visual Studio creates this web pages:

Default.aspx (main page of your web application, the silv content is not in here)
ProjectNameTestPage.aspx (default page for debugging)

we will not need Default.aspx so we can close this one. Now let's open ProjectNameTestPage.aspx. For those who have worked with Silverlight 1.0 can find a bit different the fact that we don't call javascript Silverlight.js that's because <asp:Silverlight> is the control that now loads the silverligth app. (calling js files also works)

Check out that in Source property calles "~/ClientBin/FirstSilverlightProject.xap". Build the project in order to create this xap (just a ZIP file). Inside this zip file u can see there are 4 dll files and a appmanifest.xaml. (pic below)

Let's add an bmp(bitmap) to our site. Add --> Existing Item. (Be sure to add this to the Silverlight project, and not the associated web project.) Visual Studio will set the Build Action to Content, the item will be added to the .xap file.

Let's now add content to the Page.xaml file so we can try our site. Publish it and there u have u new Silverlight 2.0 first test app.

I’mincredibly proud and pleased to announce the release of my first WPF tutorial.

I also took the opportunity to demonstrate how C# supports WPF.

This Demo is a mini video reproducer..including XML databinding to images with animation. In fact, I do talk about the designer/developer split a lot, and the way that Expression Blend allows the two roles to work together productively

Microsoft Corp. today announced the public availability of Microsoft Office Live Workspace beta http://workspace.officelive.com the new Web-based extension of Microsoft Office that lets people access their documents online and share their work with others. Office Live Workspace was among the first entries in the new wave of online services in Microsoft’s software plus services vision previewed last fall.
Organize a study group
·         Work together on assignments and share notes from class
·         Keep a shared schedule and task list for your group
Keep track of important school information
·         Manage schedules from sports to registration deadlines
