Some of you are here on a daily basis, others a little less often (SHAME on you!).

So how about you share a little bit about yourself so the next time the debate flares up, you can toss in something personal like "oh yeah, well I heard you sleep with teddy bears!"  Yeah that'll teach 'em....

I'll get the ball rolling.  Hi, I'm Max... the guy that tries to bring to you the best content possible here on Channel 8 so that you can learn, have fun, and get crazy sometimes.  I went to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology where I studied Computer Engineering and Economics.  I recently moved to Seattle, WA from Boston, MA in order to pursue my passion for Channel 8 full time and now I find myself hanging out on here a LOT!  What can I say, you guys crack me up.  So two things to keep in mind when deailng with me:

1) I don't BS... you ask me something and I'll be up front with you

2) I'll admit when I'm wrong, so call me out on it... but I'm "wicked smaht" so if you go toe to toe with me, bring your best.

You can see more about me on my personal blog. Your turn.

Okay . So here is me.

Hi,I'm a PC/MAC...oopss sorry... Hi, I'm Sriram (pronounced[more or less]:c-ram). I have a habit using multiple parenthesis  levels {,(,[  in my messages.
I am currently studying at BITS, Pilani in Dubai , majoring in Computer Science. C8 is a lot of fun- lucky to be one of the editors here. And all the usual stuff- coding, hacking, *nix, vista,(computer) networks....
What else can i say.... i like the technology business

okay..i got a really boring exam tomorrow...so adios.

My name is Christian Liensberger. I'm from Italy, although I speak German as mother language - but I'm not that bad in Italian Wink - complicated story.

Right now I'm doing my master at the University of Technology Vienna. The master is about computer graphics and that's also why I post some time about games. I like gaming Smiley I'm very curious and always try a lot of different things just for the sake of trying it. It's fun what you discover when tossing around with stuff.

Well that's me and exam season is approaching here too... I hope it's not getting to much pressure...

I like also to go out with people in the evening. I didn't do that much lately - sad sad world - but usually I do that and it's just GREAT! Big Smile

More on me is also on my personal website.

Howdy

I'm Lloyd, I live in Wales, the greatest country on earth, undeniably. We speak welsh here (unsurprisingly) so feel free to Google for translations when I let rip at you in the best language ever. I'm 14, too Smiley I also have a penchant for using too many smileys. SmileyTongue Out:D:*)

I know a little bit of VB.NET, though after looking at C# syntax I kindof prefer it, even though I don't understand it. I probably understand C# as much as VB, though. Otherwise I'm a 1337 HTML-er and I make websites Smiley

You'll find my uber-cool blog at www.lloydhumphreys.com/blog and my website (which I'm currently revising) at the same address, minus the /blog

C8 looks pretty decent even when there are only maybe 20 people I see coming regularly. Imagine what it'll be like once Corona and Beer gets a hold of C8! (For more info hit Channel9.msdn.com, my other home Smiley)

Hi,

My name's Mauricio. I'm from Costa Rica, but I live in France, where I'm studying and working for my master's in CS.

What can I say about myself? Programming is what I like best, which is why all my "Max builds a computer" comments always come with the disclaimer that I'm a software guy and that hardware is not one of my strengths. Part of my studies for the last two years has actually been teaching programming to other students within my university. Mostly .NET, but also C and C++ and web stuff like HTML, PHP and JavaScript.

Another thing I love is travelling, which I can't really do for leisure on my current salary. Thankfully, my university has over 20 schools, most in France, but others in China, Canada and the UK. So I get to move around quite a bit.

If you want to learn more about me, the best place to start is my website, even though I should bring it up to date. In the meanwhile, my blog is the best place to find out what I'm up to and where I am.

See you around Wink

@madd0 | offtopic: your blog doesn't work if you have a language other than english as your OS language...

Hi all,

I'm Josh Bolling and you may already know me from the forums over at The Edge. I'm currently a college Freshman in a small town in Virginia (United States) where I'm majoring in Computer Networking. Outside of college I spend a lot of time implementing Microsoft solutions in my home Domain, browsing TechNet for interesting articles and Whitepapers, learning PowerShell, learning SharePoint Sever, playing far too many video games and simply fiddling with things that happen to pique my interest.

Take care,

+Josh (Wa)

Hi!!

My name is Miguel Llopis, I am 23 years old, single, 1.75m, green eyes, blond... Ooops, sorry, this is not the kind of description you are expecting... I am a Spanish undergraduate student in Computer Science. I am very passionate about technologies, specially MS technologies since the first time I worked with Visual Studio and .Net (around 2003). I worked developing desktop & mobile applications with .Net and .Net Compact Framework.

In 2005, I became the manager of my university´s .Net Students Club (http://alicante.dotnetclubs.com), and started enjoying a lot sharing my passion about technology and my knowledge with other folks in my university and all over Spain.

In 2007, I became Microsoft Student Partner (www.student-partners.com) and continue with that kind of Evangelist hobby Smiley

Last winter, I applied for a MS Summer Internship in Redmond and, after 2 months of hard interviews, I got it for Summer'07. There I worked during 3 months as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) in the Connected Systems Division and also had the opportunity to meet cool people from the ADE Team in Redmond, collaborate with them here in Channel 8 and have a lot of fun.

Next October (October 2008) I will be back at Redmond to work again as SDET in Oslo (http://www.microsoft.com/soa/products/oslo.aspx), the newest SOA-architecture MS product, involving BizTalk Server, Visual Studio and .Net Framework 4.0, I think it's going to be very cool to work in such a big project with some of the most clever people in the world.

Non-technology stuff about me: I am very fond of sports, I use to play soccer, tennis, go to the gym... I also love meeting friends for party, specially at weekends. I like reading books (mostly about technology or Math puzzles), surfing the web (you can find me in facebook, Miguel Llopis; in XBOX Live, mllopis; in myspace...)

I also have some creative side, I love playing the Spanish guitar, writing poetry and creating my own songs (not too serious, just for fun, hehehe).

You can find more about me (in Spanish) in my blog: http://geeks.ms/blogs/mllopis

Nice to meet you all!

Don't worry - we (those of us from c9) are used to it.
