You guys are the reason I'm here every day... so riddle me this:  what gets you going the most?  What would you like to see more of?  What doesn't really interest you?

The crazier the idea, the better (although I make no promises on a castle made of ice cream).

Hardware related stuffs.

Reviews of beta software.

Even better: Exclusive reviews of beta software that hasn't been seen before - Review of IE8? Big Smile

Please..... Tongue Out

Is that something for Channel 9 or Channel 8? The question is if we should overlap or if we should do stuff that is only related to students... perhaps IE8 in combination with how standards are implemented?

Personally I would like to see more coding... As students were all trying to learn different languages and the best way to use the tools available to us, so some interesting projects would be cool (eg. silverlight, WPF, etc..)

I know there are a lot of resources out there all ready for this but it would be cool to get community going here, espically when you guys have such access to the development teams in Microsoft.

MORE CODE.. Let me know what you think plz ????

Hey folks!

I think it could be a good point to make some kind of "challenges". Things like algorithms and puzzles (I tried that last week and I think it has had a good acceptance), but also kind of cool challenges. For instance: encourage people to get a certain level in XBOX Live Gamertag, or explain the most strange situation in which technology has helped them.

I know it is broad, but I think it combines some basic points of the Channel 8's philosophy: 1st, all those things are content created by student; 2nd, it combines didactical content (such as algorithms) with enthusiast content (gaming, cool stories) and 3rd, thinking about it as a challenge (I have no idea about what can we offer as prizes though) we are encouraging people to comment, comment, comment... and create community Smiley

My two cents!

I'll try to post more code here... The problem with the old side was that code looked aweful and tabs were removed and such jokes... I hope that is better with the new one!

I would like to see more forums... some tech stuff - and perhaps a code corner... and something like a job exchange or similar? (brainstorming here)

What do you think?

OK, it's for students, right? So how about more student focused stuff... like things focusing on your everyday work with computers, reviews of new software/hardware, guides for certain things, I think that'd fit best Smiley

I think that you can also suggest stuff via the forums... for example if you want to see something that we should cover just give us a hint. That would be cool.
