I'm not aware of any free hosting for ASP.NET. I only know hostings that cost minimal, like the entry package from brinkster or discountasp. These are dollar prices, which means by converting them to Euro you pay less Wink

There is a FREE web server with ASP.NET in here http://www.aspspider.net/  The only problem is that sometimes doesn't allow more subscriptions... it depends on the demand..and also i think is for only 3 months..

AspSpider offers free web hosting with ASP.NET 3.5 and SQL Server 2005 support. (SQL Server 2008 hosting coming soon) This is an absolutely free offer from a group of .NET programmers for the peer technical community. We have limited number of servers and new registration will be closed as soon as we reach our server limits.

Thanks for the resource Ivana. Although I have few issuses with the site, there are alot of requirements you have to meet, for example there is quite a large banner you have to display on all pages, you have include links to www.aspspider.com on all pages, you have to post at least one comment every month, you have to add a resource once a month.. etc.

It has too many rules and regulations for me... I would rather pay, as most providers are relatively cheap for starter packages. We may be students but I still believe we should all have clean and professional looking web pages (I hate banners). I appriciate the link tho, thanks  Smiley

I never suggest to go with a free provider. You never know where you end with it. Better you sign a contract and pay them a little bit each months but in the end you can rely on them and they don't display ads on your website!

with a free provider you have less control over what appears on your site (ads) since they gave you  the space for free. Anyways paying for the service isn't that expensive (just gotta process my VISA card) so paying for it is the best option.Still free web hosting for students should be made international not only to a certain group for those who can not afford paid hosting. Also aspspider.net is too restrictive as Alan pointed out. i personally would stay away fro such offers.
