I was wondering if there was anyway I could get the Expression Studio from Microsoft, without being enrolled this semester?
Hi AdrianR,

Regretfully, Microsoft DreamSpark is only available to those actively enrolled in some form of educational institution.

Taken directly from the DreamSpark FAQ:

What is DreamSpark?
Other than totally cool? Glad you asked. Here’s how it works: if you’re a current university or college student, you can download professional Microsoft developer, designer, and gaming tools through DreamSpark at no charge.

Ok. Well I guess it was worth asking. I would hate to have to wait all the way til next semester. Would it even be available then?

Yes, DreamSpark will be available to students for the foreseeable future.

The problem with not being enrolled this semester is that you are NOT a student right now. It's hard to proof for Microsoft that you are going to start to study or go on with your studies in the next semester...
Thanks for letting me know. I just thought since I had gone to school last semester and just had to take this one off, there would be some way I could. But obviously not. Thanks for the info though.
Does summer break count as not-enrolled? I don’t see why anyone would drop out in the middle; it would be such a waste of the time and money already invested in school.
I guess (guessing here) that the subscription is valid for a whole year... that's something that could be checked. If that holds you wouldn't fall out of DreamSpark over the summer break! Personally, I don't believe that they move you out of DreamSpark over the summer break...
You can get the software as long as you are a current student it dosent matter if you are registered for classes or not. Most student take summer quarter off so as long as you are a student you can get the software. If you can provide verification then your set.
